About TipTaco

TipTaco V1 helps you record tips, view earnings by date, keep receipt photos, and set reminders. V1 does not offer community chat or account registration. TacoQueen is our public contact name.

Your records stay on your device

Tip amounts, workplace names, dates, days off, reminder preferences, and attached receipt photos are stored locally. These earnings and receipt features do not upload your records to our feedback service. In the web app, local records are stored in your browser. Device backups and browser settings may affect storage independently of TipTaco.

Optional feedback and support

When you choose Tell Taco, your message, app version, source label, and submission time are stored using Supabase, our service provider. We use feedback to investigate problems and improve TipTaco. Please do not include payment card numbers or other sensitive information. Network requests also share connection information, such as an IP address, with the receiving service. If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments through Gmail and use them to respond to your request.

Permissions you control

Camera access is used when you choose to photograph a receipt. The system photo picker lets you select images to attach. With your permission, photos taken in TipTaco can also be saved to your photo library. Notifications are used for reminders you enable. V1 does not use the microphone. You can change permissions in device settings; basic tip recording does not require camera or photo access.

Deleting local records

You can delete attached receipt photos in TipTaco. This removes the saved attachment, not the original in your photo library. Clear Tip keeps an undo copy and does not delete receipts, so it is not permanent erasure. Removing the app and its data, or clearing the web app’s browser storage, can remove local records. Offloading an app is different from deleting its data. Device backups and restored backups may retain or restore copies outside TipTaco’s control.

Feedback retention

Tell Taco feedback has a 12-month retention period. We have scheduled a daily cleanup to remove messages from the active database after that period, normally at the next daily run. Service interruptions or project suspension can delay cleanup. Service logs and backup copies have separate provider retention cycles; deleting a message does not immediately erase every backup copy. To request earlier deletion, email us with the approximate submission date and enough of the message to help us find it. Do not send sensitive details.

Service providers

Supabase processes optional feedback for TipTaco. The feedback database is hosted in US East (Ohio). Provider security and operational processing may occur elsewhere. On the current Free plan, Supabase publishes a one-day retention period for API and database logs and documents up to seven daily backups for free projects; these are not guarantees covering every provider-internal record. Support emails are handled through Gmail under Google’s service practices.
